Started life as a last child of three in a raesonably idyllic family in the vast wasteland of suburbia and found music as my salvation. As a child, I was a high achiever academically, then, at age 12 my life changed forever when I picked up a guitar. By age 14 I was teaching guitar at the same music store I had been taking lessons at, and even by 13 I had a gigging band playing lead guitar. Had my first experience with hallucinogens at age 14, while playing in a power trio (Hendrix, Cream, Pink Floyd, The Doors) and 3 weeks later went to Woodstock with my much older brother and brother in law. I enjoyed the late 60s and early 70s as a musician and ended up getting a gig at an iconic guitar pedal factory in Rochester NY called MXR Innovations. We made pedals that blew people's minds and melted their faces. Our pedals were used by Page, Keith Richards and Eddie Van Halen. I went from the Guitar Test (QA) position to head of manufacturing in about 10 months and bought my first house (on 5 acres of hilltop land in the Finger Lakes of NY) by age 21. I have traveled 6 continents, 39 countries and 49 states. Today, I speak at conferences around the world on the dangers of hearing loss among other topics. I love music, it has made me who I have become, but aving traveled so much, I love learning about new ways of looking at things, culturally,amd personally. We all have a unique story to share.
