longhaired, outdoor, natural, musician, gardener, 60's draft dodger, high school dropout(10th grade), white water rafter, fly-fisher(tye flies and make rods), mechanic(all my vehicles are "classic" 45chevy flatbed,72VW westy camper, 82 subaru brat),builder(with native materials,peeled poles, split cedar shakes etc),chainsaw lumber maker, animal lover..."live simply so others may simply live", enviro activist, tree surgeon, woods worker.
I have lived in southern oregon for 45+yrs.Have built home and micro hydro-elec. off the grid w/freezer,washer,power tools etc.Live on 40steep logged over mtn. acres,still have lottsa trees here. Year round creek thru property, property borders BLM and Rogue/Siskiyou Nat Forest,9 miles from Ore.Caves. Have small garden and some fruit trees. 2 rescued dogs. I am a naturalist, very at ease in the outdoors,wild mushrooms,berries,etc. Worked in reforestation for 35+ yrs.(tree planter, seed collector, wildlife/bird surveys,tree thinner, stream surveys, crewboss,20 person fire crew),from N.Calif. to Montana.
I like it here,close to ocean,3 whitewater raftable rivers,but could relocate,would have to offer some of what I have here, natural outdoor setting, don't need to see the big city scene. My scene is an ongoing project.
