I am self-employed in the teaching profession. I love listening to really loud music (funk, reggae, Ethiopian Jazz and other world music, 70s (disco and psychedelic rock) and some current pop, too. I often go to gigs and music festivals, and have a passion for non-mainstream films and documentaries.

I love being in nature, and it’s common for me to take off to pastures new, travelling around the UK and the world and I am currently saving for a camper van to escape more often.:) I am well-traveled, having recently returned from Christmas in India. I am a big reader of non-fiction, and can talk endlessly about spirituality, feelings and psychology and I recently became interested in Buddhism, too. I have little interest in pop culture or small-talk, and have no idea what’s on the TV these days. I am a very creative and tactile person and love cooking, gardening and home design. I have a passion for all things Japanese and Indian. I guess I am an auto-didact. I am into issues more than politics and I have socialist views.

I am currently on a journey of self-discovery which was triggered by a marriage break-up and have recently found my spark again and want to continue to grow and learn new things. I am kind, sensitive, playful and spontaneous (with the right mix of people) and being a northern girl, my communication style is very direct and no-nonsense!

I have 3 kids aged 11, 16 and 18. Two live at home with me and my eldest lives away at college and will be going to uni or starting an apprenticeship this Sept.
