I can say I'm honest, loyal, funny, and all the other cliches in every other profile description but we all know that so many people lie on these things. I can't ask you to trust me here because it takes a long time to earn trust (and seconds to lose it). All I'm asking for is the opportunity to earn it.
I live alone in an apartment in Dormont PA. I'm 4 years widowed, 3 years retired. My last 1st date was in 1999, and I just started looking for my next 1st date a few days ago. Dating has sure changed!

I'm going to say now that I smoke cigarettes. I know that's a deal breaker for some, so I'm being up front about my smoking now. If it's a deal breaker for you, I get it.
Well that last paragraph likely lost some people, but if you're still reading this then that's a good sign! Since this site is for hippies I should explain my presence here. After all, I'm a short haired Conservative-Libertarian which doesn't exactly scream hippie. Although much of our ideals way back then never became reality, the dream is still there. I'm still smoking pot while listening to Jefferson Airplane, wishing the career politicians would stop their warmongering, and doing my part by doing unto others as I want done unto me.
I don't think it's possible for a lady to make me happy unless I'm making her happy also. Therefore if we date I'll treat you in a way that would make you happy.
My interests include listening to music, watching tv, card games, the museum of natural history, the zoo, live music, and just cuddling on the couch. I'm a romantic at heart so just sitting in the park talking and enjoying each other's company makes for a day well lived.
I'm looking for someone to share our lives as partners. I don't care if you're not a beauty queen. I admit that I'm shallow enough to want someone that I find reasonably attractive (sorry Yoko Ono) but she doesn't have to look like Mama Michelle. A pleasant personality and good heart means so much more than a few extra pounds and a few wrinkles.
I don't drive, but I'd take the city bus to you. I actually think taking the bus is fun. We can always Uber when we go out to dinner, a movie, museum or wherever. Although I lived in Pgh as a kid, I lived away from here since I was 14. I've only been back in Pgh for 3 years now, and there's so much I've yet to experience in The Burgh. These experiences would be so much more thrilling if I had the right lady to share them with. Neither of us know yet if you're that right lady, but I'd like to find out. If dating turns into a lasting love that would be great. If the vibes just ain't there, but it turns into a lasting friendship, well that would be awesome too. I like to think that im a hard person to dislike, so there's nothing to lose but so much to gain.
I like to think that im a pretty good catch. Although I drink socially, I don't feel the need to drink every day. I generally go to the bar about once a week and drink 4-8 beers, depending on the atmosphere that night. That's mostly more to socialize rather than to get a buzz. I don't have a criminal record. I support myself. I don't need, want, or accept having anyone support me. I'm not just looking for a piece of ass. If intimacy occurs, it would be on your timetable. I'll respect the boundaries that YOU set without pressuring you to do more than you want. Anything else would be disrespectful of you as a lady and as a human being. I'll always respect you because I WANT to respect you. I'm looking for a companion and partner in life. You can't be either if I don't respect you.
