Psychosis is a temporary loss of contact with reality. Psychosis is my release what's yours?. Psychosis whose home base is Montrose,Texas began in 2002 and the name itself stands for leaving everything and everyone you know and love behind. The four gentlemen playing in this band are returning to the no holds barred type of rock n' roll they heard growing up. Influenced heavily by alternative rock and metal, Psychosis is playing music on their own terms. Blurring the lines of what is thought to be traditional rock, rock alternative and metal. Psychosis has made a style all their own. The singer and songwriter Tony Russell has a plethora of musical tastes that range from alternative rock to hardcore rock and shows no limitations in his writing ability and style. With music influenced by bands such as Alice ‘n’ Chains, Tool, A Perfect Circle and The Cult, the band mixes alternative rock and hardcore together seamlessly. The band recently returned from touring on the West Coast and is now working together to record a new album to debut June 29,2013.
