I am a California native, born and raised in Southern California along the beach communities from San Diego to Ventura, with a little time on the high desert as a young boy. I moved to Northern California to attend college, found the Sierra foothills to be an incredible place to live, and I enjoy each year more than the last. I would have to say that my life gets better every year, and now it would be nice to find the lady that would appreciate life as much as I do.
I have traveled quite a bit and look forward to much more. I lived in Germany for over a year, and traveled extensively while I had the opportunity in Europe. All parts of Europe are favorite destinations! I have vacationed in Japan three times now for extended periods, and love the beauty and history of that part of Asia, and now want to explore many more of the wonders in that part of the world. I am very lucky to have family and friends all over the world to make my journeys all the more full and interesting, and there are so many places I still want to visit. I made my first visit to the Caribbean last summer, and now I would love to go back for more chances to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the wonderful weather, and the chance to enjoy the culture and hospitality of the area. I truly enjoy immersing myself in different cultures, and learning about the rich history of foreign lands. My dream is to travel the world, making new friends as I explore and enjoy all there is to see!
Even when I am home here in the beautiful foothills I stay very active. I love to hike in the Sierras, backpack a few times each year, camp as often as I can get away both in the mountains and along the coast, canoe, kayak, raft, picnic at the beautiful lakes and streams, love the foothill wineries, mountain bike some local trails and when on vacation, play softball on a fairly competitive team in Placerville (for over thirty years), enjoy socializing with my hundreds of dear friends, love to barbecue, and many of my friends say I am a good cook. I have a wonderful and close bond with my family, which includes my extended family of friends, my daughters are the most beautiful and loving young ladies I know. I was married once for a very long time, and am happy to say that my ex and I are still friends. I have a beautiful passive solar home on five acres outside of town with a wonderful view, and I am not sure how life could be better, unless it is the addition of a loving partner. I have enjoyed the chance to date and know some wonderful ladies, but so far it has just not been quite the right combination to last for a long time. I am lucky to still be friends with some of those ladies whose company I have shared.
I keep my friends forever, and believe that those friendships are what make my life rich and full. I look forward to adding more friendships to my large circle of friends, and hope that whoever I may meet will bring their friends along with them.
The woman I seek will be intelligent, an exceptional communicator, social, active, a wonderful friend to many, loving and kind hearted, non-judgmental, close to her family and friends, sports minded, a good cook or helper in the kitchen, a great dance partner, spiritual but not a preacher, interesting, and interested, moderate in almost all ways except loving, affectionate, and loves touch and closeness. I know you are out there! I will hope we have the chance to connect!
