Hello. My name is Eric, and I'm a thirty-something landscaper who wishes he would have stayed in college. Instead, I spent my 20s drinking heavily in an effort to write the great American novel. It didn't work quite the way I'd planned. That is to say that no novel was produced by my picturesque inebriation. What I got instead was a seriously bad alcohol problem and a head full of existential despair. Eventually, however, that got old... old and smelly. So, I quit. I don't tell that story to indicate I'm looking for someone who doesn't drink. I don't care if you drink, so long as you don't get obnoxiously drunk frequently. I smoke weed nowadays. It allows me an escape that isn't entirely destructive to my body and mind. Again, I don't say that so that I can meet someone who will smoke weed with me, although it would be a bonus. No, please allow the above to be a small sample of my personality, and not a statement of any importance.

As for who I am today, I landscape for a living, and I make art and write as an avocation. I've always had a love for art in all forms (except maybe figure skating?). Anyways, I draw and paint small, abstract pieces influenced by Deibenkorn and others, write humorous and heartbreaking essays, and whistle your favorite hits, if you please. My favorite movie at the moment is "Love and a .45". My favorite book is David Sedaris' "Barrel Fever". My favorite thing to eat would be a big, greasy chimichanga. My favorite band is Tool (don't hold it against me). My favorite ninja turtle is Donatello. I think the ideal first date would be to debate the merits of our favorite things over coffee or on a hike. As long as you admit that Donatello is superior to Michaelangelo, we'll get along swell.
