Well-travelled in mind and body. (And when I say well travelled, I mean as in living in the Amazon on and off for ten years and such like). I love nature, above all, and being outdoors, being alone, swimming in the river at night. But I also love smart people, music, dancing all night and the next night too, and dressing up (esp. steampunk lusciousness). I am a playful, physical and intense person. I am as comfortable in running shoes/wellies/heels. I like fixing problems. I don't take myself very seriously. Oh, I guess it might be of interest that I once drove an ex-MOD land rover single-handed and barefoot across Madagascar and had to hide from shining path guerrillas for three days in a mayor's hut in a village in the Peruvian Andes. Amongst other things.

Currently: Nature at the centre of everything. Because it is. People just forget. Somehow...Also: nurturing, running, learning, teaching, researching, science, policy, reading, exploring, playing, writing, discovering, thinking, letting go, challenging myself, waking up, engaging with the adventure that is life.
