I'm a down-to-earth, non-conformist that detests drama. I'm a people helper and fixer, although I've learned that not everything(one) wants or needs fixing. I love tools and wood shops. I also tinker with repairing computers, fixing problems around my home and definitely don't mind getting my hands dirty. I've been told that I'm too independent, but I disagree with this as I do ask for help if I can't get it done myself. I'm not into sports as I'm more a creative soul than a sportsy one. I don't mind others enjoying their sports, s'long as I'm not dragged along unwillingly. I do like the outdoors and being in the woods. I've strong gypsy blood and always being pulled for an adventure. I'm also fairly shy, until I get to know people....and then my quick wit and dry sense of humor comes out in spades.
I'm not sure I'm really looking for a relationship at this time. Friendship/Companionship with potential for more IF it happens naturally. I despise jealousy and mask wearing. You either trust or you don't, and if you can't trust who you're with, then don't get involved with them. As for mask--why? Be the person you are from the beginning. I understand we all have our down days, but don't become a completely different person once you've 'conquered' them.
I'm living a pretty healthy lifestyle, am about 95% vegetarian, but don't expect someone else to be as it's just the way I've chosen. What I'd like to find is someone more active than I am so they can drag me out there, too! Being a computer geek tends to catch me getting caught up tinkering on a project in lieu of getting out into nature. So, having that extra hand to pull me along would be awesome, and even better if you don't mind teaching and training.
I don't really have many specifics for what I 'want' in a companion. The basics to me are honesty, trustworthiness, you know the drill. Without the basics a relationship is grounded on nothing, so why bother? But if you can be yourself, know that we all fail and lose it now and then, but can work through it, aren't prone to rage fits that put holes in the wall (or people), and can accept a lady with flaws...well then hey - we might just have something there.
There's an old Greek mythology belief that Zeus split humans into two separate parts because he feared their power when they were joined. Doing this condemned us all into spending our lives in search of our other half. That said, it's not too late to give up the search. Even if one found that person and only shared the last 15 years of their life together, wouldn't that have made life worth living? :~)
