I am a retired high school theatre teacher. I took early retirement from a large, prestigious urban high school and then I worked for a small private Catholic school. I enjoy being creative, designing and building sets, arranging music as well as directing and performing. I love all of the performing arts, but I am a theatre aficionado.. I love all theatre, ranging from Shakespeare to the latest musical theatre show. I attend the theatre regularly.

I love to travel and my favorite places to visit are Chicago, New York and London. I have an eclectic taste in music and I enjoy live music. I have been known to hop in the car and drive to Detroit, Cleveland or Bethel, NY (site of the original Woodstock) to attend concerts. I was raised Christian, but consider my self open to spirituality. I am a political liberal and concerned with social issues. I have to admit that I am not a "sports guy". If you want someone to watch the Bengals with, I am not him. I would prefer to take a long walk on a fall Sunday, than to sit on the couch. I like camping, but I'd prefer to stay in Chicago's Palmer House Hotel.

I am interested in taking my time in getting to know someone new. I am looking to find a friend first, and see if it could proceed from there. I am not looking for game playing or one night stands. In many ways, I am old fashioned about relationships, in that I try to be a gentleman and respectful.
