I describe myself as an eternal hippie, I would be one even if the hippie movement never happened. I don't like, and don't fit into institutions, hierarchies, organisations and parties. However I made some compromises in order to earn a living and to try to be useful, which made it necessary to work in organisations. I was brought up in Hungary,in Budapest. I moved to London in 1978, at the age of 22. I have three lovely children, who are adults now, and they live separately, and to some degree they are all "eco-warriors" . I always worked in the 'social care' sector, currently I work for a Housing Association, I am responsible for older people who experience major crisis. I live in South-East London, near a forest, which is great, as I love spending time walking and cycling in beautiful nature. I also swim regularly, and I teach swimming to adults. I nearly forgot: I divorced over 10 years ago. Since then I have been happier, and I like being "single", I have shared flats with others, I also lived alone for a few years,which was ok. I am not lonely. I have many friends, and I am occasionally happy enjoying my own company too. But it is beautiful to be in love, and it would be fantastic to find a man whom I could love, who would also love me. I have never used any dating sites, but because today I found this 'hippie dates' sites by chance, I thought, I would try. Perhaps I am supposed to describe here the type of man I am looking for. To be honest, I don't have a clue. What I know is, that in the past ten years I had two bad experiences with men who had a partner, whom they said, were in the process of leaving (already before I met them),but they this 'leaving' never happened. Therefore I would prefer a genuinely "single" man. As you have probably already checked my age before you read any of the above, I am 60 years old. I consider this a practical joke, but it is true, and my passport would prove it, but I have very little connection to "being 60", whatever it supposed to mean. My life and my self is not much different from what I was 10, 20, 30 years ago, but I am definitely wiser and happier now. Initially I wanted to write a longer headline, but there was not enough space. It would have said; "I am happy on my own, but I could be even happier with you - if the same is true about you as well." We could try to find out if it is true.
