I Would Describe Myself As
What is being a hippie to you?
Do you think you have to be spiritual to be a hippie?
I was raised to believe I was a hippie.
Since I was a baby I’ve been going to festivals and gatherings that were considered hippie events. I’ve always been surrounded by family friends that consider themselves to be hippies.
I went to a very small school where most of the people considered themselves hippies.
My mother informed me on her spiritual believes but never made me feel I had to believe the same. As I got a bit older I gained experiences that gave me a new perspective on my own spirituality. I will always continue to dive deeper into myself and to gain more knowledge on all types of spirituality. Finding what resonates within me.
I strive to gain knowledge on spiritual believes from all living teachers, humans, other animals, and nature.
I think it’s important to learn about ancient spirituality. We can’t appropriate ancient culture when finding new spiritual paths.
This is just a very small part of what I believe in and why I consider myself a hippie.
I know atheists who call themselves hippies because they’ve been embracing the style for years.
I know people who believe in order to be a hippie you have to be spiritual.
The hippie movement of the 60s was driven by spirituality.
Not all spiritual people consider themselves hippies.
I think nowadays the term hippie can mean so much. I used to think To be a hippie meant you had certain intentions and morals, but I know people who also consider themselves hippies that I have opposing views on most things with.
