I never grew past 1975 when all the best music, clothes and films had been released. I just directed a film about Leonard Cohen on Hydra, I'm still looking for my Marianne to serenade. I want my girl to be stuck in a similar time warp. Long natural hair, cheesecloth or tie dye shirts, flared jeans or denim skirts, looking like she just walked out of the Isle Of Wight festival in 1970.
I play piano, guitar, flute, harmonica, synths (formerly with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, now with a Floyd tribute band) but mostly direct musical biopics these days. I travel a lot round France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal in my work, looking for a companion. Dont worry, I no longer hitchhike but often retrace the routes I discovered by use of the thumb.
My ideal companion would be a singer like Janis or Joni, perhaps playing an instrument too but not essential or an actress looking like Marianne Faithful or Anita Ekberg or a dancer like Babs from Pan's People.
Keen to avoid squares and 9to5ers, free to travel type a must. My work will give you a real chance to recapture the late Sixties and early Seventies as it's my job to recreate them in sound and vision!
Hetero****al a good start, bi-****al even better but no pressure. Self expression a must in art, dance, music or poetry (Polly Samson writes Dave Gilmour's lyrics these days).
