Hello to whoever is reading. Hmmmm...how to describe myself. There is a poem that starts out "If once you've lived on an island, you'll never be quite the same." I moved to an island and lived in an intentional community in my 20's and was there for 10 years. There I began to understand "grok" if you will, the interconnectedness of all life. Since leaving the island (not the community), I've lived mostly in New Orleans. I began a career and raised 5 children. At 62 I made the decision to retire. I gave up my house and it's contents and started traveling in my car. I did that for 4 years. Currently I'm back in New Orleans where I share a house with 2 community members but I'm tired of living in the city. l've been yard gardening for a few years now and I want to have a big garden. My continued retirement plan/dream is to have some property where I can have a garden, raise some goats, chickens and Macovy ducks and maybe rescue and old dog or two. I'm a country girl at heart and I'm looking for a partner who is interested in similar things so that we can work together to have a peaceful lifestyle.

To have a property where I can grow veggies and other foods, and live a quiet, peaceful life. I want to raise goats for dairy. Rescue an old dog no one else wants. Have my grandkids visit in the summer. Sit on my front porch with a glass of ice tea, smoke a joint and be happy with life.
