Me describiría a mi mismo como

Old school Metalhead/Skater. Looking for someone who’s interested in friendship and/or something more. Trying out ENM (a.k.a. My polyamorous spouse knows I’m here and approves….even encourages my participation). Generally kind and altruistic person despite being uneasy in large, unfamiliar crowds. I care about people’s welfare, safety, feelings, opinions, and human rights. So, MAGAts can just skip me with their ignorant rhetoric, QANon, racism, bigotry, and general disregard for fundamental rights. I’m not selfish or entitled nor am I tolerant of those always looking to blame their woes and failures on others. I look inward first to discover what I’m doing to sabotage my own life before I start accusing people of impropriety, wrongdoing, and deceit. I avoid the insalubrious. Therefore, I take care of my skin by staying out of the sun. I eat things and engage in activities that make me feel good/healthful. I gladly take lifesaving vaccinations. I don’t pretend I know more than trained doctors, scientists, SMEs, and researchers (the real ones, not the “internet experts” who read or wrote something ridiculous on an ultra-activist blog). Ignorance, arrogance, and narrow-mindedness have no place in my life. I’m a polyglot so I don’t freak out if people don’t speak English. I’ve been to 25+ foreign nations and appreciate many cultures without pretending my own is better. LGBTQI+ advocate, ally, and ardent supporter. Also, BLM because they do, so do indigenous rights. That America First garbage is naïve, heartless, and vile. We are a nation of immigrants (unless your family is 100% Native American) so the constant grousing and complaining about brown people, border-jumpers, and/or would-be terrorists are of no consequence to me. We have plenty of White Christian Nationalism (actual terrorists who shoot little kids at school) to address domestically. Plus, I worked in Naval intelligence/cryptology as well as military law enforcement for 20 years so I know what actual terrorism looks like, up close and personal. I believe in responsible use and/or handling of firearms; my right to self-defense doesn’t deputize me in any way. Guns are made to kill; they aren’t toys, fashion accessories, argument enders, pacifiers, or political statements. I trained for years with firearms in the military; I know how to use them but chose not to own them, recognizing the inherent dangers and responsibilities that come with gun ownership. So if you are a ammosexual playtriot, I’m not what you are looking for. I don’t hunt because I don’t need to for survival, nor do I enjoy killing creatures for my own entertainment and/or vanity. I don’t need any TYFYS platitudes; I volunteered to serve. I’m not in love with my former military life nor do I care to talk about it. It was a career not a political statement. Period. I receive some awesome benefits from my service: pensions, free medical care, etc. That doesn’t mean I agree with or am proud of what I did; I’m well decorated for my work. I fulfilled my service contract with honor and duty in mind…and now the DoD and VA are paying me back.
