Look, I don't know. Nice to start to get to know a woman who had the hippie experience back then and yet still carries some of that liberal (kind of) and hippie thinking. I would think that she has some rock concerts under her belt. It would also be nice if we could share a pipe and be able to say "its all good" to dispell any paranoia! I would not want her to be a Republican or think conservatively in her politics. It would be nice if she had a history of some spiritual searching, maybe going to some New World groups, I have done some Yoga or a martial Art. Not that I still do that but I did at one time. I did learn Transcendental Meditation and still do that once or twice a day, but honestly not every day. I am a pretty open minded person, a Jewish man to start out, and still have some connection but I have a connection to Christianity as well. I can find sensible spiritual lessons in Taoism and Hindu teachings also. Nevertheless, I would be looked upon as a pretty secular person. I love being a fan of The Rangers, The Mets, The Jets, and the Knicks. I know enough about sports to be able to watch TV with the sound off, when it comes to that. I was fairly athletic in prior years. Played basketball well enough to be on my college Frat team. I played ice hockey with a bunch of guys every weekend, just about, throughout the 1980s. I dont like arguing, and will compromise as I see the other point of view, if it makes sense. These days I participate in a Book Club that meets in Yonkers once a month. I wish I could still go for a good (maybe 2 miles) walk but age has made my feet hurt and if I can get in a mile or so every 2 days that's a plus. I did maintain a hiking trail in Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County from 1998 through 2014. I do have what I feel is a necessary need to help out my son and his wife and my only grandchild in several ways these retirement days. ( I had worked for the NYSDOL for 30 years, supporting myself and 3 children , who lived with me after my divorce). I have three children and that is the one that struggles with his health and financial stability. The other two are medical professionals. I live alone. Maybe there can be a connection for me here.
