Fully vaccinated! And not looking for 2021 to be 'getting back to normal'. Looking for 2021 to be the start of something wonderful!

Since 'chance meetings' are unpredictable, I'm hoping to meet someone thru a dating site. I'd love to meet a woman to share my life with and have sparks fly; to be in a relationship with romantic moments both soft & gentle and passionate & intense. Someone to hold hands with while watching sunsets (or for that matter, a sunrise) … whose kiss becomes imprinted on my mind & in my heart. I am looking for a LTR and I'm not here to serial date. That being said & while always hopeful, I realize that chemistry may happen instantly, or take a while, or never happen. So, until I meet that ‘special woman’, I'm sure I'll still enjoy casual dating, going to concerts, dinners, and everything else life has to offer. I am looking forward to the journey as well as the destination (but hoping that the destination happens ‘sooner’, not ‘later’).

As far as 'never married - no kids' (which I know is a 'red flag'): I spent a lot of my adult life very overweight, and was very self conscious about it. Female friends would tell me not to be that way & that I had so much to offer someone; but I didn't buy it. But on March 7th 2014 I began a weight loss journey that now is about 100 pounds! I've literally reclaimed my life, and I want to share that life!

I do really enjoy music. Like William Congreve wrote over 300 years ago: "Music has charms to sooth a savage ******, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak".

I am into the local Boston sports teams and music. Its OK for a romantic interest to be a Yankee fan or a even (gasp!) a Laker fan … as long as you're not rude about it. I'm a fan, but its only sports and not 'real life'; people need to keep that in mind ('be kind', as a sports fan & in all things in life). For music, my main interest is rock - classic rock, but I also enjoy blues, jazz, & classical.

Re covid: I wasn't living in a bubble, but I was prudent. Though vaccinated, I'm not throwing all caution to the wind. I'm back at Planet Fitness, but only right when they open and its not crowded. I will dine inside, but still prefer dining alfresco. Like an underwriter, I’ve been looking to manage risk, not eliminate it. I hope any woman I meet has taken a similar approach (and is vaccinated).

Oh, and no Trump supporters.

An outdoor restaurant (preferable water view; maybe an acoustic performer playing, but not so load that we can't hear each other) for some appetizers & drinks, with the opportunity to chat & get to each other after, maybe a walk around the surrounding area pending the ambiance. Losing track of time and not realizing a few hours went by. Staying on each others minds after parting, each with that warm inner glow that translates to 'I wonder, maybe he-she is the one?'

To learn to play an instrument (guitar), but never seem to find the time. Hopefully one day, and before I'm in a nursing home!

Not a 'goal in life', but I did want to clarify the 'Catholic' response. I considered selecting 'Spiritual but not religious', but I am still 'practicing', so went with 'Catholic'. But I have changed over the years and my faith isn't what it used to be. Let's just see that the biblical character I most identify with is the apostle Thomas. 'nuff said.

Како замишљам добру забаву

I love live music. Would love to share that with one special woman. So, some kind of show (concert or a local band or even just an acoustic guitarist playing while we dine & have a drink).Oh, on the topic of drinks: sure, years ago I partied till the early hours of the morning. I'm now 'two beer Mike'. Never had a 'I have to cut down' moment. But in my mid 30's it seemed that each year I would drink less than the previous year. That adds up after a quarter century. Ditto on the topic of herbal recreation.

As far as the woman I’m hoping to connect with: there would need to be some mutual physical attraction. I think that’s a prerequisite when meeting thru a site like this. If a man and a woman already share some social setting, that allows time for chemistry to develop when you may not expect it to. This is different. That being said, I’m not looking for a runway model & I’m not going to be gracing the cover of GQ. But we both need to be ‘easy on the eyes’ to the other.
And someone who is ethical & kind (I’d like to think that most people are good people). Someone who is grateful for this life, and someone who isn’t Machiavellian.
It would be nice to share sports or music or other interests. But I’m not looking for a female version of myself. Differences can be celebrated as we discover who we are and how we fit together
